WORCESTER, MA — Worcester police arrested a Brockton man Monday afternoon after a bank robbery along Park Avenue.
The man walked into the Cornerstone Bank at 230 Park Ave. around noon and handed a note to a teller demanding money. He was also holding his hand in his sweatshirt to make it appear he had a gun, police said.
The man then walked out of the bank with cash. He was stopped nearby by officers, who also found him carrying a box cutter.
Nathon Ribeiro-Neves, of Montello Street in Brockton, was arrested on charges of armed robbery while wearing a mask, and three warrants, police said in a news release.
