Here are the top stories in Atlanta today: Beginning today, Fulton County residents who are 5 years old and older can receive $100 gift cards for getting their first or second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. The gift cards will be distributed daily through Dec. 6 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at three locations – 3900 Aviation Circle, NW, Atlanta; 5710 Stonewall Tell Road, College Park; and 4700 North Point Parkway, Alpharetta. Two women were killed and a man was hospitalized in critical condition after their vehicle was rear-ended around 3:45 a.m., according to DeKalb County authorities. The other driver, whose name was not released, was also hospitalized with injuries not considered life-threatening. The Georgia Department of Transportation fully reopened I-285 after police finished investigating the wreck, shortly before 8:30 a.m. (Free: Atlanta Patch; Subscription: The Atlanta Journal Constitution) In order to ease overcrowding at the Fulton County Jail, 100 nonviolent inmates have been moved to Cobb County. Monday, Fulton County Sheriff Patrick "Pat" Labat said he had struck a partnership with Cobb County Sheriff Craig Owens to house the 100 detainees, alleviating an overflow at the Fulton County Jail on Atlanta's Rice Street. The Fulton jail houses 3,100 inmates, 300 of whom are relegated to portable sleeping units called "boats" that are placed on the facility's floors. "This is a huge step in getting our detainees off the floor," Labat said. (Atlanta Patch)A woman was injured in a shooting Monday afternoon at a home near Cleveland Avenue Elementary School, which was briefly placed on a "soft lockdown," according to an Atlanta Public Schools representative. Responding to reports of a person shot in the 2500 block of Old Hapeville Road in southwest Atlanta around 12:15 p.m., police officers found a woman with a gunshot wound. The woman, who was unconscious but still breathing, was taken to a hospital. No additional information was released about her condition. The elementary school's lockdown was soon lifted, and the school day continued as normal. ( The Atlanta Journal Constitution)Monday, Levi's opened Atlanta's first "NextGen" store in Ponce City Market. The store, situated in the space next to Sephora, across from J.
