Description

Looking for suggestions regarding learning piano. Hello, I've recently purchased an 88 key electric keyboard with weighted keys and 3 foot pedals and am eager to begin learning piano. I was hoping to get some feedback, tips, recommendations, etc regarding where to start. I'm sure in-person lessons are the way to go, but I'm curious if anyone has any opinions/recommendations as far as learning via online resources goes. I'm also interested in any book recommendations that may be relevant. Of course, I'd also love recommendations for piano teachers, if you have them. I'm not quite sure where to start and don't want to pick up a bunch of bad habits but am eager to start learning. I work 3rd shift and keep odd hours, so online resources would be great, but I feel at some point in person or online lessons will be required... I've just turned 35 and for all I know may not have what it takes to become a decent piano player, but....I won't know until I've tried. I can google for myself, so please only reply if you have personal experience with the books/teachers/online lessons/etc that you recommend. Cheers!
