His 5-minute routine on "Showtime at the Apollo," a do-or-die test for any young comic, won him slots on other top networks and television shows such as MTV, Comedy Central, BET's "Comic View, HBO's "Def Comedy Jam and sitcom “Sister, Sister." He writes all of his own material and describes his comedy as, "free flowing, everyday situations taken to the extreme."Since 2000 Covington is the co/host of the Greg and Dre Morning Show one of the top radio morning shows in the Central Valley on Q97.1.Where his stand- up comedy comes in handy to supply listeners with antics that keep them in stitches. He and his wife currently own a production and promotions company called Unique Entertainment. The company specializes in throwing special events, and booking Comedians across the Central Valley. Unique Entertainment promotes all of its own shows and is instrumental in promoting other special events throughout the Central Valley such as; Jamie Foxx, Cedric the Entertainer, New Edition, Katt Williams and many more. For the last year and a half, Covington has been the host of the Central Valley’s most popular comedy venue at Chukchansi Gold Resort and Casino. Covington had a small but scene stealing part in “The Clean Up Men,” starring Oscar winning rap group Three Six Mafia. This independent film released on DVD grossed over 1.5 million dollars in sales. He also is featured in the upcoming movie “Politricks.” Covington shot his own highly anticipated 1 hour comedy special titled, “I’m getting too old for this.” The special received rave audience reviews and Covington is currently preparing new material to present his 2nd 1 hour special in 2022.
