We are In the Silence: www.inthesilence.band We're looking for someone our age, (30's, early 40's) to be a long term fit for our musical style. We've just reformed after a 6 year hiatus, and our extremely talented drummer can no longer play, so we need to fill some big shoes. You: Professional Can play to a click track effortlessly - because that's how you practice No drugs/drinking at rehearsal or on stage (one of us is in recovery) Good income and Transportation No problem with Odd meters and poly-rhythms Fast double kick, on time, no issues Can learn the old material and nail it, and help us arrange new material Have a working knowledge of musical theory You could teach drums, whether you do or not Your kit size is not overcompensating for something (7 piece is typical and fine) You don't have to like all these bands, but at least know who the majority are and understand the genre of progressive metal and what we are going for: Opeth Katatonia Caligula's Horse Leprous Voyager Alcest Steven Wilson Riverside Soen Vola Animals as Leaders Meshuggah Pain of Salvation Klone Kingcrow Devin Townsend Dream Theater Fates Warning GHOST (we're all big fans) Evergrey Isahn Periphery So, if you're our White Buffalo...message Josh (the singer/guitarist) Feel free to send a video of you playing some of your best stuff to break the ice.
