Description
a Federal Grand Jury has indicted Steve Bannon for refusing to comply with a subpoena issued by Nancy Pelosi's House Select Committee which is "investigating" the events that took place on January 6.
Why it is important to you as a citizen: Bannon is the former White House advisor to President Trump and current host of the 'War Room' radio show and podcast. While working with Trump, Bannon helped craft the America-first agenda. For the past year, from behind the microphone on his radio show, Bannon has brought national attention to issues that the media refuses to cover:
Covid leaking from the Wuhan Institute of Virology
Exposing the fraud that took place in the 2020 election
Dr. Fauci funding gain of function research
Moms across the country taking on school boards over Covid mandates and CRT
and so, so much more.
Bannon was charged with two counts of contempt of Congress. If convicted, he could face up to a year in jail. His "contempt" is for refusing to participate in Nancy Pelosi's show trial, where he was subpoenaed to answer questions about his conversations with Trump,
Perspective: When Eric Holder was Attorney General of the U.S. under Obama, he ordered American gun stores to sell weapons to Mexican cartels so he could track where they ended up. The idea was that they would track the guns via their serial numbers and see where they ended up. It turned out, an American border patrol agent was murdered by a cartel member using one of Eric holder's weapons. The House then subpoenaed Holder to testify about what happened. Holder refused. So he was held in "contempt" of Congress. But unlike Bannon, the DOJ didn't indict him.
So what's the difference between Bannon's contempt and Holder's contempt? His party affiliation.
