Jumpstart your resolutions and kick off New Year's Day with a blissful and spacious beach yoga class led by Santa Barbara Beach Yoga founder, Emma Davis. Immerse yourself in sound and nature while deepening your outdoor yoga practice. Celebrate the start of a brand new year at beautiful East Beach with our signature beach yoga class! With our headphones, hear the instructor and music perfectly while spaced out over safe distances, so you never miss a beat—or a pose! This class offers a gentle yet invigorating flow to get your body and breath moving. We focus on the basics of alignment while building strength, confidence, and balance. Expect a fun and light-hearted yoga sequence followed by relaxing restorative poses and a blissful savasana. Experience music and voice instruction simultaneously through our wireless headsets, at the volume level of your choice, in the most peaceful beach setting Expansive ocean views and fresh air! BEGINNER-FRIENDLY // NO PREVIOUS YOGA EXPERIENCE NECESSARY // ALL ARE WELCOME Fun, invigorating, and safe! Reserve your space now--Limited spots available due to SB City regulations. Please bring your own LARGE beach towel/blanket (it's easier than your yoga mat). We will meet on the sand near the shore directly in front of the Cabrillo Pavilion. Please wear comfortable clothing you can move in, bring sunscreen and your swim suit if you want to jump in the ocean after class! Recommended for ages 13 & up. Directions: From the East Beach Cabrillo Pavilion at 1118 E. Cabrillo Blvd, Santa Barbara 93103, walk straight out towards the ocean. You will see our signs and beach blankets/yoga mats. Plenty of free street parking is available as well as two metered parking lots on either side of the Pavilion. If you park in the metered lots, please remember to pay your meter! We recommend that you put more time in the meters to allow time to walk to and from the beach yoga class, and extra time to enjoy the beautiful beach surroundings. YOUR SAFETY IS OUR PRIORITY We have always held our sanitation protocols and procedures to the highest of standards, and with the current COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve only taken our precautions to the next level. We gladly follow all regulations according to the CDC and City of Santa Barbara. To create a safe and comfortable environment as we transition out of shelter-in-place measures and back to holding in-person events, we will be implementing additional safety measures before, during, and after class. We want to make your experience as comfortable and safe as possible. We’re in this together! Check-in: Please respect an appropriate distancing space of at least six feet while checking in and wear your mask until you set up your space. The headphones will be ready for you to pick up at check-in once you arrive and present your e-ticket. As always, they will have been sanitized thoroughly before class, but we will have sanitizer wipes available for you to use. We will also provide disposable coverings upon request for anyone who wishes to utilize them. Setup: Pick out a space! Please set up your mat or towel at least 10 feet apart from your fellow yogis. Headset Return: After class, please return you headset to the bin near check-in. We require you to sign up in advance to ensure that you have headphones and a designated space. Please arrive at least ten minutes before the session begins so you have time to check in and set up. Because we run classes outside, class dates, times and locations are all subject to change depending on Mother Nature.
