This guy is ready for adoption and available through Living the Dream Rescue. Anyone interested can contact me directly as I am his foster. Payson is a sweet, friendly, energetic pup. He is a five-month-old beagle mix and while we are not sure what he is mixed with, our best guess is lab. He is a good puppy, but it's definitely a puppy. He's very energetic and playful and would love a dog friend to wrestle with. Play and exercise definitely helps get out some of his energy. Being a puppy, he does like to chew so providing appropriate chew toys and puppy proofing the house is a must. He is doing really well with potty training and seldom has accidents as long as you are diligent about making sure he goes out frequently. He's learning to use a dog door and is crate trained for when he is home alone. He loves children but he gets very excited and doesn't realize his size so a home with school-age or older children might be best. Payson will need to go into a home without cats. He's not aggressive towards them but loves to chase them and bark non-stop at them. Payson will definitely need some training to learn manners, particularly around food as he will steal anything he can reach. Typical puppy behavior! He's a smart boy and catches onto things quickly. He sleeps well on the bedroom floor through the night but he does snore. He really is a sweet-natured pup and will make someone a wonderful companion. Payson is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for his forever home! His adoption fee is $350.
