Carbine 1 is our introductory course for rifles. Shooters of all experience levels are welcomed. The goal of this class is to educate and train the fundamentals and principles surrounding effective handgun handling and marksmanship in a crawl-walk-run manner, culminating in a comprehensive course of fire. Our curriculum is designed with the new shooter in mind; all students will complete the course more knowledgeable and capable than they entered it. Location: English Pit Shooting Range 820 NE 192nd Ave #7533, Vancouver, WA 98684 Time: 8:00am-5:00pm Cost: $300 Topics covered: Firearm zeroing · Sling management · Sight acqusition · Mechanical offset · Marksmanship · Trigger control · Proper grip · Recoil mitigation · Follow through · Shooting at speed · Mechanical operation · Troubleshooting stoppages/malfunctions Gear list: Carbine (AR, AK, or other variants welcomed) · Quality chest rig/plate carrier with magazine pouches (optional) · (5) rifle magazines · Quality mag carriers for your magazines (at least 1 if not using chest rig/plate carrier) · Ear & eye protection · Hydration, lunch & snacks · Weather appropriate attire · 500 rounds of rifle ammunition (300 minimum) As an introductory course there is no prior training needed to attend.
