Handgun 1 is our introductory course for pistols. Shooters of all experience levels are welcomed. The goal of this class is to educate and train the fundamentals and principles surrounding effective handgun handling and marksmanship in a crawl-walk-run manner, culminating in a comprehensive course of fire. Our curriculum is designed with the new shooter in mind; all students will complete the course more knowledgeable and capable than they entered it. Location: English Pit Shooting Range 820 NE 192nd Ave #7533, Vancouver, WA 98684 Time: 8:00am-5:00pm Cost: $300 Topics covered: Drawing from the holster · Proper sight alignment · Trigger control · Proper grip · Recoil control · Mechanical operation · Troubleshooting stoppages/malfunctions Gear list: Handgun · Quality gun belt · (4) pistol magazines · Quality holster for your handgun · Quality mag carriers for your magazines (at least 1) · Ear & eye protection · Hydration, lunch & snacks · Weather appropriate attire · 500 rounds of pistol ammunition As an introductory course there is no prior training needed to attend.
