Music Festival in Severna Park raising awareness and funds for suicide prevention. Our goal is to show people in our community that they are not alone in their struggles with mental illness. Burgers and Bands for Suicide Prevention represents hope for a light at the end of the tunnel. The money raised at this event goes back into the schools and community for mental health initiaitives. To date, we have provided peace walks, sensory walks, calming boxes, support groups, mental health training, mindfulness classes and speakers for elementary, middle and high schools throughout Anne Arundel County. And still, the thing we are most proud of is the event itself. The number of parents we have spoken to who credit Burgers and Bands events for showing their children that it is okay to ask for help is astounding. We could not be more proud to be a part of this community event. Burgers and Bands for Suicide Prevention is a grass roots organization started by an Anne Arundel County Maryland family who faced the threat of suicide and came out the other side.  Together they now help fund mental health initiatives throughout Anne Arundel County.
