Register for the annual UPO's annual concerto competition. Sign up times will be made available later in the year. Join us for the Utah Philharmonic Orchestra's seventeenth annual concerto competition! We're the only competition in the state to allow both vocalists and instrumentalists to compete for the chance to play live with an orchestra at the Spotlight Spectacular later in the year.   We are a community orchestra dedicated to bringing great music to Utah and Salt Lake counties. From classical masterworks to movie themed music, we want to provide a positive environment for musicians to play together and audiences to connect. Through patriotic and civic celebrations, cultural arts festivals, and side-by-side concerts, the orchestra gives performances in four to six municipalities each season.   The crown jewel of the Utah Philharmonic Orchestra is the annual concerto competition. This is the only state-wide competition open to all ages and all instruments. The competition is held in February and the winners from each age category perform as soloists at the final season concert.
