Please join our Poet, Mary Lynne Gasaway Hill, at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Little Flower for a book signing at the “Basilica Bazaar” the 2021 Christmas Market on Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm. Mary Lynne is a poet, writer, professor, and Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. She will be talking about the history and meaning behind the Words of Winter, and reading from her new collection of poetic meditations, "Horizons of Joy: Poetic Thresholds for Winter" (River Lily Press, 2021). The Basilica Bazaar hosts a variety of vendors from the greater San Antonio area and gives shoppers the opportunity to see art, crafts, and more. The Bazaar is Saturday, November 20th from 9am to 3pm. This event is being organized by the Rose Festival Committee. Today Little Flower Basilica serves Catholics in the San Antonio area as a traditional parish and people from across the nation and all walks of life as a historical and spiritual landmark. Little Flower’s classical architecture echoes the designs of old world churches, with the Tomb Chapel of St. Thérèse a near replica of that found in Lisieux, France. Andrew J. Hill is an Associate Professor of Philosophy at St. Philip's College in San Antonio, Texas, and a 2019 Fellow in the Global Studies Division of Stanford University.
