Taste the best of Austin's largest Farmer's Market while meeting local farmers, chefs and artisans! Prepare to have your tastebuds delighted and your meat cravings satisfied as we taste and tour our way through Austin's largest weekly Farmer's Market. We'll enjoy courses from a hand-picked selection of the market's most delicious and unique vendors. No tiny tasting spoons here, you'll leave satisfied (since everything's bigger in Texas)! You'll learn the story behind each vendor, what makes their food uniquely delicious, and why they're passionate about their craft. Great for visitors looking for a delicious Austin experience, or for locals who want an overview of the best the market has to offer! THE FOODWhat food is included? The menu may change slightly due to seasonality and availability, but generally includes a sizable sampling of: The BEST Wagyu Brisket, Pastrami, Ribs and SausageHandmade local Pork Dumplings, pan-fried to perfectionPecan wood Smoked Ham and Pork Rillettes The largest, doughiest Chocolate Chip Cookies on earthAn ever-changing assortment of the FRESHEST seasonal produce, including Peppers, Radishes, Cucumbers and Tomatoes Award-winning, basket-molded goat Chèvre Cheese Family-harvested, locally-roasted Nicaraguan Iced CoffeeAvocado and coconut-based Ice Cream (trust us, you won't miss the dairy)A bottle of water is also included with the tour. If I like something, can I buy more from the vendor? Absolutely! However vendors do run out of certain items as the day goes on. We'll alert you to which items tend to to sell out, and depending on how bust the market is, you may be able to purchase from the vendor while on the tour. Do you have vegan, gluten free, paleo, kosher, halal, etc. options? Unfortunately we cannot accommodate individual dietary preferences at this time, but will be happy to answer any questions about how the food was prepared and ingredients. Will I get to talk to the vendors? While the vendors may be able to chat for a moment, most are actively running their very busy Farmer's Market stands. Where will we be eating? The market takes place both inside and outside of Branch Park Pavilion. For vendors outside the pavilion, which includes all freshly prepared foods, we'll be eating as we visit each vendor. Due to mask requirements within the pavilion, we'll visit vendors inside to meet and speak with them, then sample their food once we're back outside the pavilion. THE TOURWhere do we meet? The tour meets at 11:00am in front of 2001 Philomena St., at the corner of Philomena St. and Mattie St. If you're running late and need to meet us in the market, please call or text 512-387-1933. What should I bring? The market takes place both inside and around Branch Park Pavilion, so depending on the season, Texas can be HOT and SUNNY outside. Please check the weather before coming to the market to ensure you're dressed for comfort and sun protection. We recommend: Hat, sunglasses, sunscreenA mask (required for the indoor portion of the market. Will be provided if you don't have your own)Your appetite. This tour is designed to amount to a full mealHow much walking will be involved? The market covers about 1 square block, so very little total walking is involved with this tour. However there will not be seating available during the tour. Are bathrooms available? Yes, facilities are available inside the pavilion, where the Farmer's Market takes place. Are masks required for the tour? The Texas Farmer's Market currently requires masks while inside the pavilion. A new mask will be provided if you need one. Masks are not required for the outdoor portion of the market. Is parking available? The following map shows where free parking as available during the Farmer's Market, from 10am - 2pm. Garage parking is also available at McBee Garage, just a block from the market. Is the tour wheelchair accessible? Yes, both the indoor and outdoor areas of the market are wheelchair accessible.
