They don’t need to go together but they’re very social animals and should have a same-sex or spayed/neutered buddy. Sage is a 4 year old girl and Basil is a year old white crested male. Neither are spayed/neutered, they’ve been in separate cages. Sage’s previous owner said that she didn’t love sharing her living space, so she could probably remain a single - I keep the cages next to each other so she gets some socializing. Just found I’m pregnant and unfortunately need to make a lot of life changes including down sizing my animals to save money/space. They will be greatly missed, they’re great pets. They will come with everything I have for them, but Basil needs a bigger cage.
