Description

Help us clean the salt marsh off of the James Island Connector! Give thanks to your local salt marshes by coming out this holiday season and helping us clean the marsh off the James Island Connector on Sunday, November 28th from 10-12PM. Please wear closed-toe shoes (mud boots if you have them), clothes you don't mind getting dirty and wet, and a reusable water bottle. Details are below: You must RSVP in order to participate Date/Time: 11.28.21, 10-12PM Location: We are meeting right under the James Island Connector (JI side) off of Harbor View Road. We'll park in the gravel lot directly under the Connector. The lot does require you to drive over the small curb (look for Surfrider Flag and Surfrider volunteer directing traffic) If coming from James Island: Take the Harbor View Exit off the Connector and turn directly left into the gravel lot at the stop sign. If coming from Downtown/Mt. Pleasant: Take the Harbor View Exit off the Connector and make a right onto Harbor View Road. You will have to turn left into the gravel lot and drive over curb. To Bring: -Please bring your own set of work gloves if you have them, if you don't we will provide gloves. -Wear long pants, closed toed shoes and mud boots (old tennis shoes work) if you want to get into the marsh! We will provide the rest of the supplies!
