Total Covid deaths for Young People Ages 20-29 = 173 reported total on 11/12/21 up from 168 deaths reported as of 10/14 /21 The NY Dept. of Health has also tracked pre -existing health conditions that affect response to the covid virus. Fourty- two thousand, one hundred and eighty -nine(42,189)of NY residents who died from covid 19 had a comorbidity but the largest group of 24,684 patients had hypertension . Six thousand and eighty-six ( 6086) residents had dementia ; 15638 of those New Yorkers who died were diagnosed with diabetes ; Hyperlipidemia was listed as a co- morbidity on 9909 NY death certificates. Cancer patients were affected (4351)and died of covid 19 complications. Please get vaccinated or continue to wear a mask.
