Private Tasting at Free Range Cafe Free Range is opening just for The Women's Giving Circle! Bring a friend and enjoy a sampling menu including soup, smoothies, cookies, and more. Your friends will learn more about The Giving Circle at this event. We'll also hear from owner Rori Daughtridge, who launched Free Range just before the pandemic shuttered businesses like hers. Items such as coffee, cookies, and gift cards will be available for purchase just in time for the holidays. Tickets are $10 and registration will close on Monday, November 29. Seating is limited to 30. This event sponsored by One Step Closer Coaching. The Women’s Giving Circle of Washington County was founded in 2003 to provide an avenue for women to pool and leverage their enthusiasm and resources to have a greater impact on our community. The Giving Circle provides a unique opportunity for donors to join together, contributing just a dollar a day, to promote and support programs and organizations that enable and empower women. Members participate in philanthropy through grant making, education, advocacy and other community-based activities. Together, we make a bigger impact on organizations that contribute to the emotional, educational, financial and physical well being of women of all ages. Joining the Circle requires donors to pledge a minimum contribution of $365 a year for three consecutive years. Because we strongly believe in educating subsequent generations about philanthropy, junior memberships are offered for young ladies. Annual membership contributions work immediately, with one half of each gift applying to the next granting cycle, while the other half is deposited into the endowment fund to create a permanent, evolving legacy. Collectively, we can realize more change for our community than any one of us could alone.
