Since I arrived at the shelter, everyone loves me! but...I have one issue: I do not like being leashed or having a collar place around my neck. We all have issues right? But I shouldn't have my life taken away from me especially since I am very loving dog! I need a adopter who will work with me and a trainer to help me with this. I'm a 4-year-old,tricolored American Pit Bull Terrier (57 lbs.). When I arrived at shelter, I was scared timid and unsure of people. I have made progress though, and interact great with everyone here! I lean in for pets, love attention, and love to be petted alot!!. I didn’t get a dog to-dog assessment due to the medical status of shelter population, so there is no information on how I might interact with other dogs,children in the home be 5+. I need an adopter that will be patient with me while I am getting over my anxiety about being leashed and will help me learn to walk on-leash. I will need to be transported home in a crate.
