Kyoto is a 10-year-old cat we adopted out of a family in our neighborhood. Kyoto found us, as he strolls around the city and chose to visit us and come into our home. We eventually adopted him as he seemed to prefer to stay with us! He is a kind and calm cat, used to being around toddlers. He never hissed at anyone or reacted to our toddler who can be a rough playmate. He is not demanding physical exercise or play, as he mostly naps and loiters around. The ideal home for Kyoto would allow him to roam freely around a park and or neighborhood, and he would have unrestricted access to his litter, food, and water. He also likes to go to bed at night with the family to sleep with the company. In our case, due to restrictions for the safety of our toddler, we could not give him that freedom, making him dependent on us to be able to choose when to eat or move around.
