Press release from the City of Dublin: November 10, 2021 The City of Dublin is seeking residents to fill unscheduled vacancies on the Senior Center Advisory Committee and the Planning Commission, and a trustee position, representing Dublin on the Alameda County Mosquito Abatement District. The Senior Center Advisory Committee consists of five members who serve four-year staggered terms, and two alternates who serve two-year terms. This Committee makes recommendations related to the operation and maintenance of an effective and efficient Senior Center for the residents of Dublin. The City of Dublin is seeking an individual to fill an alternate position, with a term ending date of December 2022. The application deadline is Friday, November 12, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. Complete the application. The Planning Commission is an advisory body to the City Council. The Planning Commission is made up of seven community members, including five Planning Commissioners who serve four-year terms, and two Alternate Planning Commissioners who serve two-year terms. The duties and powers of the Planning Commission are spelled out in Chapter 2.12 of the Dublin Municipal Code and include the power to perform duties in reference to Planning, Zoning, and land use, and to make recommendations, for City Council approval, of the following: A comprehensive, long- term General Plan for the physical development of the City and land within the City's sphere of influence; development plans which are consistent with the General Plan; and regulations, programs, and ordinances as required for the systematic implementation of the General Plan. The City of Dublin is seeking an individual to fill an alternate position, with a term ending date of December 2022. The application deadline is Friday, November 19, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. Complete the application. The City of Dublin is recruiting for the City of Dublin Appointee to the Alameda County Mosquito Abatement District, with a term ending January 2024. The District is governed by a Board of Trustees consisting of fourteen members. One trustee is appointed by the City Council for each of the thirteen incorporated cities within the District, and the Board of Supervisors of Alameda County appoints one trustee representing the County-at-Large. Each trustee serves a two-year term. The Board of Trustees meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month at 5:00 p.m. The application deadline is Friday, November 19, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. Complete the application.
