Here are the top stories today in Smithtown: $32.7M Rehabilitation Project At State Route 112 In Long Island Now Complete. Improvements to a 1.7-mile stretch of State Route 112 in Suffolk County, Long Island are now complete. The $32.7 million project spans from Medford to Coram and includes wider travel lanes, new turning lanes at key intersections, pull-off areas for buses, new drains for stormwater runoff, and a landscaped median. Additional improvements include dedicated bike lanes in both directions, new sidewalks, curb ramps, reflective pavement markings, and crossing signals to enhance safety for pedestrians. (New York YIMBY) First-Ever Ice Skating On Main Street Coming To Downtown Smithtown. Next month, you'll have the opportunity to lace up your skates and kick off the holiday season with Smithtown's inaugural Ice Skating on Main Street event. On Dec. 4 from 2-7 p.m., folks can ice skate right on Main Street outside the Fresh Market Shopping Center, as well as partake in other holiday festivities.
