I see so many people claiming to be "patriots"! Funny, maybe they need to actually look up what a patriot is! 1. patriotism has nothing to do with respect for the flag, it has to do with respect for the Nation that flag represents. 2. Freedom of religion does not mean just one religion, it means all of them. This Nation was not founded on Christian ideals, but on the ideal that we all can worship as we please. 3. The right to bear arms is not inclusive. Remember, the term arms was meant as a weapon, but does not define the weapon. So if the Government bans guns, yet allows Knives, they have met the Constitution. 4. If anyone thinks that any election in this Country can be "fixed" at a National level, they are deluded. This Nation can not cooperate long enough to decide one location for a concert! 5. The removal of Statues, Flags, names or symbols does nothing to remove racism. Nor doe the decision to simply promote, hire or appoint to make up for past transgressions. Until we begin to change minds by example, we will never lose the scourge of Race. 6. Guns kill, so what! A gun can not fire unless a trigger is pulled. Outlaw guns all you want, people will still kill based on hate, anger, monetary gain or insanity. 7. There are bad cops and good cops, until we decide to let cops do their intended job and quit asking them to be social workers, pastors and mental health experts, you will still have mistakes. 8. Some laws are stupid, until they are removed from the books, they are still the law and should be obeyed. 9. The approval of legalization of Marijuana is solely based on the idea that a drug induced population is easier to manipulate. 10. Patriotism is the idea that I love my Country enough to support needed changes, not to wallow in old, and outdated ideals and thoughts.
