The Omega Sci-Fi Awards are proud to accept entries for The Roswell Award international short science fiction story competition from writers age 16 and older. The Feminist Futures Award was created for feminist themed sci-fi and is co-presented by Artemis literary journal. Feminist Futures Award is a special prize awarded to one distinct winner. The chosen winner will have their story published in Artemis literary journal. Stories not chosen for the Feminist Futures Award will still be considered for The Roswell Award. Selected finalists will be chosen to have their stories read in their honor by celebrity guests during the Culminating Event on May 21, 2022. All finalists and honorable mentions will be recognized for their work. First, Second, and Third place The Roswell Award winners will receive $500, $250, and $100 USD cash prizes. The First place winner will receive access to the UCLA Extension Writers’ Program sponsored 11-week or shorter online course. Submissions are open until December 21, 2021.
