Laura Barsalou has been playing keyboard since she was five, and has added skills in saxophone and backup harmony singing. Her talents have taken her to gigs around the Pacific Northwest, including playing with bands like Silverhill and The Purple Herons. Besides music, Laura has worked professionally with adults that have intellectual and developmental disabilities, and believes strongly that anyone can learn with the right amount of patience and thoughtfully sequenced instruction. She is open to working with anyone who has a passion for learning to play! Laura has a BA in Music from Western Washington University in Bellingham and is currently studying Music Education at Portland State University with an eye to being a full-time music teacher. To help hone her teaching skills, she has been providing private piano and keyboard lessons to the greater Portland area for the past five years. Contact her to get started today!
