To the person with curly hair in urgent care I was there for an injured foot and you were there for something more serious. We both wore overalls. I saw you look at me and it got my attention. Whether you were looking at me for people watching sake or interest I’m not sure. But it got me looking at you. I thought hmm could I meet a potential date here in urgent care? Unfortunately you were in a lot of pain and I thought to myself “wow this is inappropriate of me to think of while this person is struggling” I thought about going over to check in on you, but I also thought “hm they maybe would not want that” so I did nothing and thought maybe I could write a missed connection post later that they would see. As I stumbled my way down the hallway out of the facility you were being pushed on a stretcher now. very sad… But we made eye contact and smiled at each other through our masks.
