Salary: $21 an hour Job Type: Full-time Qualifications Commercial driving: 1 year (Preferred) Driver's License US work authorization COVID-19 Vaccination is Required by Client Sites and Therefore a Must for This Position Schedule: We work Monday–Friday and shifts start as early as 6:30 am and end when the assignment is completed. General Job Description for Truck Driver: IT Asset Management Group has an immediate opening for a full-time Non CDL Truck Driver. The driver will be responsible for safely and efficiently driving a 24’ truck to small and/or long distances for extended hours to pick-up IT equipment. The right candidate will have a positive attitude, willing to learn new skills, and will be a dedicated and hard worker. No IT experience or computer knowledge is required but basic computer skills and interest in technology is a must. Duties & Responsibilities: Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned vehicle. Pick-up and safely transport IT equipment to intended destination. Ensure contents are properly secured in truck to prevent damage/injury. Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip. Always ensure your vehicle is kept clean. Maintain and service vehicle as needed (refuel, tire pressure, minor road repairs, etc.) Notify supervisor of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered. Follow delivery schedule and rest at appropriate times. Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs. Track and report working hours. Adhere to company rules and regulations. Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive in according to the weather/road conditions When possible, assist the crew with packing, palletizing, loading, and unloading of truck, or running our hard drive shredding machine. Always be presentable and able to represent our company with all types of customers. Driving mainly in the Tri-state area and on some occasions overnight-out-of-town jobs with all expenses paid. Education, Experience, & Training: An experienced driver with at least 3 years of solid experience. Must have a clean driver's license and able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug test. Must be comfortable and experienced driving a 24' truck. Air brakes/ fully equipped 2014/2015 vehicles. Skills & Abilities: Highly organized and detail-oriented Self- motivated and resourceful problem-solver Able to perform under pressure to meet deadlines Must communicate effectively and work well with others Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations No recent moving or driving violations Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc) Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. **Valid driving license** **Must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated**
