Seeking keys for a 60s tribute band
A 60’s tribute band is seeking a keyboard player. Currently, we are lead, rhythm, bass and drums. Both guitarists sing. I was in a successful 4 piece 60’s tribute band a few years ago and we had no problem getting booked. In 2016 we were booked almost every weekend from late April to the end of July when the band broke up. We never played past 10pm. We played wineries, The Fountains Roseville, State Fair, Roseville Strawberry Festival, El Dorado County 4th of July Fireworks and others.
Some of the songs we played:
All along the watchtower – Jimi Hendrix
Sunshine of your Love – Cream
White Room – Cream
Numerous songs – Beatles
Numerous songs – Byrds
Little deuce coupe – Beach Boys
Runaway – Del Shannon
In a Gadda da Vida – Short version – Iron Butterfly
You can get the idea. Nothing against the regular cover bands, most of them are really good. Unfortunately, they play many of the same songs and are competing for a limited number of places to play. We did not play bars. Many venues are looking for a different type of band to play for a mixed crowd. A lot of great songs came out of the mid to late 60’s and these are the ones most folks remember.
If you are interested, please reply to the ad and provide your name, contact phone number and a brief bio of your playing experience. I will respond within 2 days of receiving your information.
