18 Tons of Stone Delivery and Placement off 8.5' Wide Alley

Jobs

Wayne near Penn, Allentown PA

Description

I am looking to have the following delivered onto a driveway being constructed off a 8.5' wide alley (Wayne Street). Construction started, about halfway done, but best/closest stone supplier closed weekends until spring, so will be looking for someone to finish what I started during the week. I am looking to have the following delivered 5.5 miles (from AB Natural Stone to the site, though I am open to other alternatives if you have a great suggestion) and placed in the following order: - 4 tons of #4s (4" wide stones) placed on the lower portion of where they already are and a bit lower down the slope (about 2 tons each), then - 10 tons of 2Bs (loose, clean stone about an inch long and half inch thick, with no fines) spread out over the first 33' (to all but the last 5') of the 38' driveway to make a consistent sloped ramp. About 9" at the top tapering down to 2" at the bottom, 5' from the end of the driveway pad. It should be almost flush with the alley for the first 2' so it can settle and still be a functional driveway. - 4 tons of 1bs spread/sprinkled over the top. This layer will be 1.5-2" thick maximum, except the last 5' where it goes over the existing 1Bs. The first couple feet should look high, humped up an inch or two above the alley so that it can settle down to where it needs to be. The alley is too narrow for a 8-ton truck, which is why I will not be getting delivery by the stone seller. There are two approaches to the property. The narrower but straight approach is an alley (Wayne Street) shown in the photos which is 8.5' wide at the narrowest, with a 8.5' tall overhang of 15" that is away from the area that you would be dumping. the other approach is 9.5' at narrowest (wheel wells, one side is a wall, the other is open space) with a turn in an open space of 14' wide, 13' deep in direction of travel. It seemed easiest to back in on the 8.5' wide portion and pull back out the same way so not reliant on the rest of the alley route remaining unoccupied. I have a permit for a parking lot off the back alley (Wayne Street), including blocking street a total of two days for the driveway construction - no stone can be left in the alley at the end of construction or overnight. Stone pickup is available 730-430 M-F, and is paid for by me. I have road closed blockade for use at the end of the alley directing people not to use it while working. I am also looking a separate proposal (not part of this project) for low (8' high?) first floor flashing/fascia/gutter work - first floor roof gutter needs repair. See pictures. I'm flexible on means of repair as long as water tight and keeps water from running down the house - redoing the gutter, installing a drip edge and eliminating gutters, etc. You are responsible for your own safety and tools including truck. Let me know if you want to make an offer on materials as well, otherwise I will order from AB Natural Stone 5.5 miles away. General Craigslist Post Disclaimers: I respect both our time, and will delete or update the post when it is taken. If this ad is up, it is still available. If you ask if I still want the work, you run the risk of me ignoring your inquiry. Instead, make a proposal or ask questions about the job to be able to do so. Contact only about these jobs. We have no need for assistance from Nigerian Princes nor from people who send too much money via check or money order and want to receive a cash refund. Thanks.
