Hello y’all! Not looking for handouts… please read whole post. My father is a veteran living in his car.. his car just broke down needing CV Joints. A local mechanic fixed them not long ago… but they went out of business.. now he’s left to pay $800!!! I’m trying to see if anyone knows of a place that can help him … he has some money … around $400 to $500 ! We’re not looking for a handout! I’m in Florida and not able to help much more financially. This car is all he has to his name! Any help or ideas would be amazing!! I hate feeling helpless … no person should be in a position of homelessness… let alone a veteran!! Before people start wondering why he’s homeless … I’ll tell you! He waiting for housing to come available. He’s looked for almost a year… But this isn’t about housing right now… this is about his car. He just needs it fixed for a reasonable price and not be ripped off! He prefers a warranty. Ideally we hope a place will let him buy the parts … that would save him a lot and able to get it fixed… most large repair shops won’t do that though :-(. If you know a place that would help him, or if anyone could even afford to help pay the difference … that would be amazing! I can even repay you!! Can anyone please help a veteran out???
