Description
A Functional Medicine Journey: 4 Days to Your Optimal Wellness UPDATES TO THE EVENT WILL BE MADE AFTER THE RESOLUTION OF THE CURRENT GLOBAL HEALTH CRISIS | STAY SAFE - STAY WELL All individuals are worthy of respect and reverence for the deep, intangible meaning and purpose possessed by each of us; yet for many, this personal touchpoint for creating optimal wellness has been lost. Healing involves more than knowing information. Healing requires recreating our story, our wellness and indeed our meaning and purpose. It’s a personalized path, a dynamic dance of science and spirit. There are new ways to envision one’s health. In this 4-day healing retreat with our faculty of Integrative and Functional Medicine thought leaders and clinicians, come experience your personal journey through your health landscape; touring through your genetics, family histories, physiology, psychology, and day-to-day lifestyle choices. The bigger picture of you (including review of optional laboratory testing completed before the retreat) will be revealed in interactive large and small group activities. Having learned more about you through the Functional Medicine Matrix and the combined hologram of modern medicine, and ancient traditions, you can expect to leave with ideas on how to cultivate better health and healing with simple skills to create significant shifts. We will build these skills through an investigation of foods, physical activity, emotional expression, meditation and guided imagery. Located just outside of Helena, Montana and surrounded by millions of acres of forest and mountains, our 4-day long retreat provides a focus for discovery work while providing many opportunities to breathe, wander, laugh and lounge in the uncommon space of grace that is the Feathered Pipe. We will be taking a modest but invigorating hike on Monday afternoon. Our daily large group experiences are focused on utilizing the Functional Medicine model to create wellness. Exploring genomic influences, environmental inputs including the microbiome, and the latest wellness literature, we will review programs and lifestyle choices then will offer diverse pathways to healing. For the small experiential groups, we will meet in small groups of no more than nine and use mind body spirit wellness tools (stress reduction, guided imagery, and meditation to name a few) to recreate the stories of who we are and plot the path to individual healing.
