EVENT IS 21+ Surfliner is composed of Sam Worley and Tyler Wyatt, young musicians from the choppy coastline of South Shore Massachusetts. A few years of honing in on their inspiration culminated in their debut LP, Kiska, released in January 2019. With the release of their sophomore album, Psychic Blues, Surfliner took their act out of their hometown and across the Northeast. The sound and style of the band picked up grittiness in the small clubs of New York City, sunniness at the Levitate Music and Arts Festival near Cape Cod, and introspection in the woods of Western Mass. Constantly falling in love with new music across genres and international borders, they continue to gather an eclectic bundle of influences and refine them into one signature sound. Ben Collins & Company is the live band of Burlington-based Ben Collins’ solo recording project. Just as the ranchers in the Wild West would have a company of cowboys, BC & Co features a rotating cast of musicians with different skills, influencing and affecting the repertoire of music in new ways. With the combination of the musicians’ influence, intentional songwriting, and a healthy focus on improvisation, BC & Co aims to create a dynamic performance full of honest lyrics, fiery jams, and unexpected twists and turns. You may know Collins from his work as a music photographer, or with the Rose McCann Band, Moondogs, or Dead On Arrival. On December 18th, a special rendition of BC & Co will take the stage at New World Tavern, featuring Ellie Murphy, a seasoned musical actress and vocalist with a passion for live music and any opportunity to sing. Murphy has led countless plays and musicals throughout her career in Duxbury, MA and State College, PA. Murphy and Collins are lifelong friends, raised alongside each other in Duxbury, MA, who have begun a musical collaboration. A collaboration that was born easily and seamlessly fits together. Come see Murphy and Collins return to their roots to play amongst family and friends for the first time.
