Apartment Quail with Supplies - Moving $10 each, $50 for supplies

Description

Looking to rehome my Quails. They are about 1 year old and I have kept them since they were about 3. My position in New Haven will be ending at the end of the month and I will be heading back home to Canada. Since quail are classified as game birds and not as pets, I am not able to bring them with me to Canada. These guys have made excellent apartment pets. They lay eggs about once per day. The female is comfortable around people and has even hatched eggs in the past (something captive coturnix quail are not usually known to do). Unlike chickens, female quail are almost silent and the male crows occasionally when there are changes to his environment, but it is much quieter than a chicken would be. These guys are kept primarily as indoor pets, and would need a good outdoor enclosure if they were to live outside as they are susceptible to being eaten by predators like racoons. Coturnix quail usually live about 2 years. To avoid unscrupulous buyers I am asking for an adoption fee of $10 each and $50 for the cage and supplies (shavings, bird feed, oyster shell, heating pad for sick or young quail). I order my supplies off amazon, but there is probably a better local seller. I don't drive so I can only offer pick up only. I prefer email or text messages to phone calls. Thank you, Jessica
