Join Noire Impact and IJP for a service event; we'll be creating care packages for youth impacted by the criminal justice system. Noire Impact is a brand new non profit organization that assists women of color interested in careers in politics, policy, and law. At Noire Impact, we believe serving the community is a key tenant of public service in political and legislative careers. To that end, we're partnering with a longtime advocate for justice involved youth, the Illinois Justice Project, to provide care packages to youth impacted by the criminal justice system. Come out and network with other Black and Brown Women involved in politics, policy, and law while serving a good cause. - Masks are required for all attendees - If you're not feeling well, please feel free to donate to the cause. It's important that we socialize responsibly - $20 donation is suggested of all attendees What Is Noire Impact ? During her time as a Springfield Staffer Sydney Holman saw a need for safe spaces for Women of Color to connect with each other for the sake of collaboration and support. Initially, Sydney arranged brunches and happy hours that allowed these women to connect with each other; sharing stories and laughs. Eventually, the gatherings became exchanges of career advice and mentorship. Most recently, Holman hosted a headshot party that featured a host of elected officials who participated in a panel discussion. Noire Impact is the formal avenue for Sydney's efforts and we hope to have your support as we grow Sydney's vision. Noire Impact is a not for profit organization that supports Brown and Black Women looking to explore careers in the political, policy, and legal space in Illinois. Founder, Sydney Holman, has been creating spaces for women of color to connect over the last five years. During her time working in Springfield she saw a need for women of color to better network and support each other as they navigate their careers. Noire Impact is Holman's effort to formalize a hobby that's become a passion. Join Noire Impact events to connect with other women of color in politics, policy and law.
