Come vibe with us for a special live performance by platinum selling reggae artist Charly Black at Ocho Rios Jerk Spot on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 9pm! Charly was born in and raised in the countryside of Jamaica, known as Rio Bueno, Trelawney. As a teen, he recorded his first smash in 2004’s- “Woman is You,” under the direction of Tree Top Records, followed by series of hot riddims that put his career into overdrive. The 2014 track "Gyal You a Party Animal," based on Kurt Riley's Jambe-An riddim, gradually spread outside Jamaica to win over audiences across South America. It was licensed for the U.S. by Casablanca in early 2016. Black kicked of 2017 with the collaborative Sexy Ting Riddim EP, which featured Ishwana and Shaq Royal. A flood of new material followed throughout the year, including singles like "Hoist & Wine," "Independent," "Associate," and "Never Grudge." Charly admits his diverse influences and inspirations include the extraordinary Michael Jackson, the legendary Bob Marley, Bounty Killer, U2, Phil Collins, Josey Wales, Harry Belafonte, Beenie Man, Vybz Kartel, Buju Banton and a host of musical titans that Charly says, “ speak the language everyone can understand- MUSIC!
