Inner Child Healing: Connect With & Nurture Your Inner Child As humans, we’re constantly projecting our past experiences onto the present moment. This means we are unconsciously ruled by our past experiences, hurt, and trauma until we become aware of how our past is expressing itself in our current reality. Much of our conditioning is determined in childhood and is formed by parent figures. How we feel about ourselves, our relationships, how we engage with and show up in the world all can be traced back to our earliest memories and experiences. Inner child work is a way to connect with our child self and to show up for that version of ourselves as the loving, nurturing, caring, and supportive person we are today. It offers a way to give ourselves the love and nurturing we needed, and perhaps did not receive, in the past. It’s a way to heal from past experiences so we no longer carry this hurt or pain with us in our current lives. Inner child work is not just showing up for past versions of yourself, it’s learning everything you need is already within you. You have the power to love, nurture, and heal yourself. You have the power to release the past and build your own reality based in love and compassion. In this workshop we’ll use guided meditation, writing exercises, and group connection to: Connect with our inner child Learn to listen to our own needs, pains, and desires Begin to release past hurt Learn the basics for nurturing, caring for, and loving our inner child (and ultimately our whole selves) The goal is to not only experience healing through the workshop, but to gain the tools to continue to connect with and nurture your inner child. Ultimately, you will learn a process that supports you to release past emotions and unhealthy patterns keeping you from aligning with and living the life you desire. What to bring: A journal and something to write with A childhood photo of yourself (Recommended ages 3-6, if possible. You can also meditate on which childhood version of yourself needs to be cared for and nurtured and follow your intuitive guidance.) A yoga mat or chair Something cozy, like a blanket Water -- Justine is a healer and the author of Homecoming: A Guide to Get Out of Your Head and into Your Heart.
