Help us improve by giving us your feedback Help us improve by giving us your feedback Published on November 12, 2021 The City of Miami will make applications available for the Business Assistance Grant Program 2 beginning Monday, November 15 at 10:00 am, to assist qualified, for-profit or non-profit small businesses located within City limits that suffered a loss of income due to the COVID-19 pandemic and that meet all other program requirements. The program provides eligible, open businesses with a one-time grant award of up to 20 percent of the business's 2019 gross revenue, not to exceed $25,000. The business's annual revenue in 2019 cannot have exceeded $2 million. In order to qualify, the business MUST be: (1) located within City of Miami limits as per the County Property Appraiser's website (all City folios begin with 01); (2) have 20 employees or less and meet all of the eligibility criteria indicated in the application; (3) and submit a completed application along with copies of all required supporting documents, as indicated on the application. The program's funding can reimburse businesses for business expenses that include: 1) rental or mortgage payments; 2) employee salaries; 3) and utility bills/business licenses and/or insurance. Expenses must have been incurred on or after March 1, 2020, up to the date of the application's submission and cannot have already been reimbursed by another local, state or federal business assistance program. This program cannot pay for future anticipated expenses. Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-ready, first-served basis. Applications will not be reviewed until all supporting documents have been submitted. It is highly recommended that businesses apply using the online portal at www.miamigov.com/BAGP2 where the applicant can directly upload all required supporting documentation. A paper application will also be available on the same web page for downloading and printing, or for pick up at a City of Miami Neighborhood Service Center location.
