There is a good reason why Ford is leading the charge in building a full line up of electric powered vehicles. Just as diesel electric trains proved to be a better alternative to coal powered trains, electric vehicles are the better alternative for many reason to fossil fuel powered vehicles. EV's are cheaper to build and operate than gas powered vehicles. EV's mean no more dependence on foreign oil. We can produce as much power as we will ever need. EV's are safer than gasoline powered vehicles. EV's cause less pollution than gas powered vehicles. EV's last longer than gas powered cars. There are a few downs sides to electric vehicles. But the down sides far outweigh the negatives of fossil fuel powered vehicles. All major auto manufacturers see the future and it is not gasoline or diesel.
