Twenty years ago, no company even remotely involved in advertising would doubt the value of digital infographics printing. After all, the internet was in its infancy, people subscribed to newspapers and magazines at much higher rates than they do today and the economy, as compared to today, was thriving. However, in the modern world, where nearly everyone is connected to the internet, not only on their computers but on their mobile phones, tablets, and even video gaming systems, it can be easy to lose sight of the continued value in printing. As the world moves towards a more online and digitally connected way of life, many companies are beginning to underestimate the effect that commercial printing can have on a cross media marketing campaign. Commercial printing is still an extraordinarily effective form of advertising. For one reason, those who are always digitally connected, especially recently, tend not to have a printer at home. Coupons and brochures done with printing services are still a much easier option to put in one's bag than a digital advertisement, where someone may need to email a digital brochure or coupon to himself so that he can present it from his mobile phone. Digital printing has a definite advantage in the convenience department. Another substantial reason digital printing is still important is for the older demographic. There are many older people who may not own a computer, may not have an internet connection and may not know how to use the internet even if they are connected. For the most part the older generation has either completely accepted the online age or they have completely rejected it. Those who aren't apart of the online age tend to be very interested in commercial printing, and tend to have subscriptions to newspapers and magazines , where the advertisement catches their attention. These people are also unaware of the ability to shop around to find the lowest price on the internet and therefore are generally willing to spend more money on their purchases. Although it may seem a bit old and traditional, printing services are still effective, and remains an extremely important form of advertising in today's digital world. Having pamphlets which a customer can easily take with them, coupons which a customer can easily cut out and advertisements which catch a customer's attention while he is reading the newspaper, are still all valid reasons why printing services lead to sales, awareness, and a much better conversion rate for any company. Digital and commercial printing may be less visible in today's digital world, but it can still be a valuable and vital part of a cross media marketing campaign.
