2 Petaluma Residents Arrested On Suspicion Of Robbery

PETALUMA, CA — Two residents of Petaluma were arrested in connection with a robbery after threatening a man with a knife while demanding money Friday evening, police said. Around 5 p.m., a man and a woman approached a person on the 300 block of South McDowell Boulevard and demanded money. The man threatened to stab the victim, the Petaluma Police Department said in a statement. The victim told police he fled and hid in a nearby business as the male suspect chased after him. The pair then stole items left behind by the victim and fled in a vehicle, police said. Officers identified Steve Goff and Mary Lepak as the robbery suspects later that night. Bothe were booked into the Sonoma County Jail. Police said Goff was charged with robbery, criminal threats, assault wit ha deadly weapon and conspiracy. Lepak was charged with robbery and conspiracy, officials said.
