Description

Did you know that Brookwood High School has two pre-kindergarten classes? A couple of years ago, BHS administration recognized the opportunities that a pre-k class would mean for students – for both the pre-k students and high school students. Brookwood High students in the Education & Training Career Technical Education Program work with the pre-k classes, giving BHS students career-related experience at their own high school. The students also have opportunities to become trained as an education paraprofessional and earn an institute credential. In addition, students throughout BHS have opportunities to interact with the pre-k students. On Friday, November 12, pre-k students enjoyed a Fall Festival, hosted by 29 different BHS classes, teachers, clubs, and teams, who developed games and activities for the kids. This press release was produced by the Tuscaloosa County School System. The views expressed here are the author's own.
