GEORGIA — Two Clayton County women have been arrested and accused of helping the man police say shot and killed a Henry County Police officer.
Police charged 25-year-old Katlyn Nicole Finley and 19-year-old Madison Rose Troy with felony aiding or permitting another to escape custody on accusations that they both helped Jordan Jackson hide from police.
Jackson, 22, was accused of shooting Henry County Police Officer Paramhan Desai on Nov. 4 during a domestic disturbance arrest in Stockbridge. Desai later died in the hospital.
Jackson went on the run from authorities, prompting police to issue what eventually totaled a $70,000 reward for his arrest.
Authorities tracked him down, and police say that as a SWAT team closed in on Jackson as he barricaded himself in a Clayton County apartment, he shot himself and died.
Finley also was charged with hindering apprehension of a criminal, and two counts of possession of controlled substances.
Both women are being held at the Henry County jail without bond.
