Pick Up Local Oysters and Clams Just in Time for Thanksgiving

Shellfish Share connects residents in the Greater Boston Area to fresh, traceable, and sustainable shellfish from Massachusetts. Every month, participants have the opportunity to try new varieties of oysters and clams from our network of local harvesters. There’s no commitment and anyone can sign-up on a month-by-month basis. Shellfish Share is based off of the Community Supported Aquaculture/ Fisheries model and adheres to the Local Catch Network Community Supported Fisheries/ Aquaculture Core Values which prioritize sustainability, transparent sourcing, affordability, and local food networks. Split shares come in biodegradable beechwood packaging and each share includes traceability tags from Blue Trace with harvester, harvest time, method, and packing date information. This month, community members have the option to pick up Provincetown oysters, South Dennis oysters, or Cape Cod littleneck clams. You can either purchase a split share with both oyster varieties or oysters and clams or a big bag of individual varieties. Our next pickup is November 20th in Boston, Cambridge, Brookline, and Chatham and you’ll find pickup times and locations below.
