Hello,
On the evening of October 17, 2021 I fell asleep on a park bench in Abe Lebewohl Park at E 10th Street and 2nd Avenue.
I had a green duffle bag with me with an Atlantic brand with a seahorse logo on it.
The important contents of the duffle bag were:
1.) A 15" Lenovo Thinkpad with 32 GB RAM. It dual boots Fedora Linux and Windows 10.
2.) A 15" HP Laptop with 16 GB RAM. It has Windows 10 on it.
3.) A 2nd Generation Amazon Kindle Fire.
4.) A bunch of laptop power adapters.
5.) A grey zipper pouch containing several hard drives and RAM cards.
These laptops had work on them that I either could not or did not have backed up elsewhere. I have the serial number for both of the laptops and have been attempting to track their location. I reported the incident to the NYPD 9th precinct.
I am currently homeless, so I can't easily replace what was lost or stolen.
The craziest thing about the situation is that apparently somebody put me in a cab or else drove me to where I used to rent a mailbox. That's what was on my ID. I am homeless and destitute. I need those laptops for freelancing purposes
I have no recollection of anything after falling asleep on the park bench and my Google Maps history doesn't make anything any clearer.
If you know anything about my lost items--especially the laptops--please let me or the NYPD 9th Precinct know.
Thank you,
Joshua Greenfield
