****NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN**** Hi my name is Gizmo! I was an adopted pup off Craigslist at 9 months old with my current family in September of 2015. I couldn’t tell them why but they learned very quickly I have pet peeves or things that I really don’t like. BUT I’m willing to love and be loved but I have boundaries. It took a bit for me to warm up to the 3 kids I watch over now. I did a lot of Yelping and nipping if they got to excited or moved to quick for me but I grew to trust and love them over time. I hate the wind or when a broom or vacuum is being used. I really LOVE to chew on just about anything and everything. It’s especially more aggressively when I’m uncomfortable though. I don’t like visitors too often, so I need to go outside or to a quiet place away from everyone if company comes over and I decide I don’t like them. In May of 2016 there was a large slumber/birthday party for one of the kids. It was too much noise and energy for me. I was picked up to go outside for a potty break but was so over stimulated I leapt out of their arms and landed on the carpet, instantly breaking both my front legs. They don’t have Large gatherings anymore unless I’m fully taken care of and in a comfortable safe space. My mobility is now limited, though I try to stay active and run with my 2 larger pup companions. I get really stiff, slow and hurt later. Pretty much a good purse pup now. I currently have a cozy dog run for with fluffy shredded mulch an umbrella, a mini pool for those hot days and pallet loungers with a lots of chew toys. Thanks for reading and getting to know me! The veterinarian has told us that he has arthritis in both legs and will need medications to keep him comfortable as he gets older…..He is already getting more uncomfortable and his medical needs are getting a little more expensive. He also has a tooth that needs extracted and it must be bothering him but we just can’t afford to have it taken care of.…. He can be a bit complicated and barks at pretty much everything for any reason but all around a good boy. He gets along with other dogs ( not sure about cats) and loves to shadow his human where ever they go. He Loves snuggling on a nice warm bed chewing on his chew toys. He’d do best in a quiet adult home, free ranging with no kids or heavy traffic. There is Rehoming fee and interview to make sure he is going to a good new home.
