A beginning class for students to experience a new way of seeing the world around them.
This 6 week introductory class will explore the basics of seeing a photograph. Class members will begin to see a fresh perspective of the common, everyday subject. Weekly projects will give the class the chance to experiment with whatever type of camera they have, whether it is a point and shoot, cell phone, or digital SLR. The focus of the class will not be on how a camera works, but on the basics what makes a compelling photograph, and will culminate with an exhibit of class photographs. Class dates are Thursdays Jan 7 through Feb 11. In response to COVID-19, masks will be encouraged for class members and social distancing guidelines will be followed.
