Description

Exit 56 Blues fest is the celebration of the lives and legacy of the Country Blues tradition and Brownsville's Blues Pioneers. Held annually in the hometown of Blues Pioneers Sleepy John Estes, Hammie Nixon and Yank Rachell, Brownsville Tennessee celebrates their contributions to the Blues industry with a 2-day event featuring lives blues, car shows and more. Saturday concerts are held from the porch of the Sleepy John Estes home. Live performances begin at 10 am and continue through the day and evening. Also featured throughout the day are a Corvette Car Show, Cruise-In, Arts and Crafts Show, Food trucks and a Deep-Fried BBQ Eating Championship. Sunday features more Blues with a Women in Blues Showcase from the Delta Stage. Both days you are welcome to explore the museums inside the West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center, as well as the Tina Turner Museum (we're her hometown, too). Bring your lawn chairs or blankets for comfortable seating and enjoy the grounds. Coolers are discouraged as we have a beer vendor on site.
