  Position Summary: Under warehouse supervisor, a sanitation worker is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary warehouse and office in a manner that is consistent with the company's standards of quality, saftey and productivity.   $15/hr $1500 Sign on Bonus This is a Monday - Friday position with weekends and holidays as required. There are 2 shifts available, 1st shift - 5am - 1:30pm or until finish. 2nd shift - 4:30pm - 1:30am or until finish.   Major Responsibilities: Job requirements may include the following where applicable: • Proficient in mopping, sweeping, scrubbing and vacuuming surfaces • Empties trash bins and clean trash area daily, operates trash compactor when applicable • Pulls pallets and clean/scrubs product bays on a rotating basis • Cleans up any spills or breakages to inventoried product, recoups damages and determines if resalable or must be disposed of per food safety standards and requirements • Cleans other areas of the warehouse and offices, to include break rooms, rest rooms, offices, etc. • Completes daily sanitation logs • Utilizes chemicals, detergents and cleaning equipment • Operates scrubber and pallet jack if required to perform duties • Able to identify and address cleanliness and sanitation issues • Escaletes issues timely and directly to supervisor • Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor   Qualifications: • At least 1 year of warehousie sanitation experience • High school diploma or equivalent preferred • Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required • Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook required (where applicable by location) • Flexible to work overtime preferred • Ability to work in non-climate controlled conditions required • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job • Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
