POSITION SUMMARY: This role requires good attention to detail while following manufacturing formulas, taking accurate notes on each production batch, working with industrial mixers, and moving objects which can be heavy at time (e.g. 55 gallon drums). While the ideal candidate will have experience working in food manufacturing facilities and be familiar with the quality control processes, this is not a requirement to be considered for the job. Our operations can be a messy environment so you need to be comfortable wearing company provided uniforms, hair nets (and beard nets if deemed required), and work boots. Additionally, we require that you speak and read English fluently and have good penmanship. Having a current forklift license would be attractive to us. WORKING HOURS: We have amended our production hours due to the Covid pandemic and the factory hours are currently Monday – Thursday, 7 am to 5 pm. So you will have a 3 day weekend most weeks. Prior to Covid, the factory worked Monday – Friday, 8 am – 4 pm, Occasionally we do run Friday and/or Saturday overtime shifts as needed. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: • Properly reading formulas/recipes and selecting the right components from inventory. • The ability to use pallet jacks (both electric and manual) or drum hand trucks to move raw materials from inventory to production rooms. • Accurately weighing or measuring ingredients according to formulas. • Accurately recording all ingredient details (weight used, lot number, manufacturer, etc.) for each production. • Accurately calculating basic arithmetic both in your head as well as with a calculator. • The ability to lift heavy objects weighing as much as 55lbs (in bags and in boxes) • Following all food safety and quality control guidelines. • Efficiently weighing and packing drums, cartons, pails, and jugs. • Checking labels for accuracy and load on pallets ABOUT US: IFC Solutions provides specialty ingredients to the food and beverage industries as well as the cosmetic and personal care industries.
