I was gifted a red-eared slider as an "office pet" that I cannot take care of. Her name is Gertie She should only eat food about the size of her head per day. If her shell starts curling, she is overweight. She is a red-ear slider turtle and is invasive. She cannot be released in the wild, and will be your pet from 20-30 years depending. This is a commitment. Please read up on the care of turtles, she will need care and attention that is more than sticking her in a room. Small $25 rehoming fee covers some of the equipment and food I've purchased before deciding this 'gift' was just an assignment
